Suminagashi means “floating ink”, it is the ancient art of Japanese paper marbling. It’s a meditative art work that requires focus and patience. In order to get such beautiful patterns on paper, one must first create the design on the surface of water using ink and brushes, and then carefully transfer it on paper. It’s all hand made from start to finish. What I present to you today is a collection of high res scans of marbled papers I’ve made using this technique.

This pack includes 65 different marbled backgrounds that would be perfect for anything from a website or a banner to any kind of paper stationery, posters, postcards, notebooks, business cards, invitations, etc. I’ve also designed a few scarves, iPhone cases, and a couple of clutches using the same marble patterns. So it’s really up to you how to use them, they would look great on anything you can think of. The possibilities are endless!

You will receive 65 high res JPG files at 300DPI.
The sizes of the textures are around 6000x4000 pixels.

Thank you, and happy creating!
